Ansons Bay is the name of both a geographical feature and a small township (Australian Postcode 7264) on the extreme north eastern coast of Tasmania. For much of the 20th century it was mostly engaged in the timber industry but is now mostly involved in fishing and tourism. The Ansons Bay postcode was officially changed from 7216 to 7264 in 2009. The mail service to this area is now via Gladstone rather than St Helens.
